Theme – The Housing Finance Sector after Financial and Natural Calamities

The Home Guaranty Corporation (HGC) is inviting practitioners and others who are interested in housing and housing finance to the 4th Philippine Housing Finance Forum on February 18, 2010 at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Peninsula Manila, Makati City from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.

Now on its fourth year, the Forum aims to provide the participants a broad view of the present and pierce into the future thru the eyes of the invited luminaries who will share their experiences, insights, and outlook based on this year’s theme. Leland L. Sun, Chairman of the Hong Kong-based Pan Asian Mortgage Company, Ltd will share his thoughts on the “Global Financial Crisis and How It Is Shaping Housing Finance.” Director Renato U. Solidum, PhD, of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology will discuss “Natural Calamities: Lessons for Housing and Housing Finance.” HGC President Gonzalo Benjamin A. Bongolan will tackle the “2010 Philippine Housing Finance Outlook.” The Forum will be concluded by the closing remarks of Vice President of the Philippines and Chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), Noli L De Castro touching on the very theme of the Forum.

The Philippine Housing Finance Forum has been an annual event organized by the HGC to provide a venue for education and exchange of information on housing finance in the Philippines and its neighboring countries. Participants attend each year’s Forum to update themselves of the latest analyses and trends in the housing and real estate industries.
